So what ?
(about me)
In 2012, a road-trip across the west american national parks changed the course of my life. In the quiet immensity, I felt like home, I felt part of the land. Hmmm, quite a common story: who hasn't fallen in love with such landscapes, this feeling of humility and freedom ? never wished to embrace the trees of Yosemite ? roll himself naked in the sands of Death Valley ? play hide and seek in Zabriskie Point ? jump off the rims of the Grand Canyon ?
So, as anybody coming back to France, I felt haunted by the spirits of these places. I got connected with the social networks of the US government national parks to get the everyday forecasts, be filled in wonder to the changing seasons, be aware of the birth of a squirrel at Tuolumne Meadows, the crossing of highway 190 by a spider looking for love, etc.
It helped me to leave the missions and places in which I felt a bit lost : I finally took the decision to leave my carreer as script-supervisor on movie sets (the most thrilling job of the world, but not used as well as it should) and I've been looking for a mean to come back and live in one of these natural places. I don't know anything in biology, neither in science, I just can write, build a story, a script, a movie, take pictures... and I'm a bit sporting... so, what can you do with that ? well, you seek, you discover that the US government considers yourself as an animal until you don't have a green card or the good 'pedigree', and you think again, you tell yourself that it's normal to feel at home in an almost 100% natural environment whether it is in the US or elsewhere because YOU ARE AN ANIMAL indeed, and you have to do all your best to protect the left relations with what we were before ! And as the best tools are those of communication, you're going to try to develop them !
Here we are - that's why I'm proposing this website (all made in html5 and css3 please!) that could have been called "Culture Nature" if the domain name hadn't been given yet; a site about nature (sometimes pragmatic, sometimes poetic) and culture (litterature, cinema, music, pictures, art) related to nature... Hope you'll have the same pleasure reading those posts as I've had writing them !
